Whitley's Special Batter is still made from the original recipe devised by Vin Whitley in 1924 and which has stood us in good stead ever since.

Using a high quality base flour but no additives what so ever apart from the raising agent it continues to produce a light, fluffy batter that fries naturally to a golden colour.
